The Planets: The Orchestra's Guide to the Galaxy
March 22, 2024
Toledo Museum of Art Peristyle
8:00 pm

In the spring of 2024, Toledo will be in the direct viewing path of a total solar eclipse. To celebrate this phenomenon, the Toledo Symphony has commissioned ADJ•ective New Music – a composers’ collective with ties to Toledo – to compose a suite of new planets. Paired with Gustav Holst’s Planets with stunning visuals from KV 265, this program explores both the scientific mysteries of space and our planets and the human imagination of what lies beyond our world.
This concert made possible with support from Ford and Phyllis Cauffiel.
Choral performance support provided by the Rita Barbour Kern Foundation.
This project is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.
