Most of the Time | A Solo Piano Recital by Cindy Sang

In celebration of the opening of the Toledo Center for Live Arts, Cindy Sang presents a FREE homecoming concert in the Robert Bell Studio. The title of the piano recital, “Most of the Time,” plays on the word “most” and its dual meanings: majority in English and bridge in Polish. Juxtaposing drama, humor, and (out of) comfort zone, the musical selections on the program reflect on one’s coming to terms with transience. Cindy dedicates this concert to her Toledo mentors Frances Renzi and Colleen Sieberg.

 

Cindy Sang is a pianist and musicologist committed to animating the exuberant energy and reflective weight of music and voice. A graduate of Maumee Valley Country Day School and the University of Michigan, she received the Young Musician Award from the Toledo Symphony Orchestra in 2023. Based in New York City, Cindy currently pursues doctoral studies in Historical Musicology at Columbia University, with a Certificate in East Central Europe.
