The Toledo Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) announced that the alt-rock band Guster will perform with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra for one night only on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 7:30pm at the Peristyle Theatre. Pre-sale tickets for 23/24 season ticket holders and donors are available now by calling the TAPA Box Office at 419.246.8000. Tickets will go on sale to the public on Friday, June 16 at 9am at www.toledosymphony.com.

Toledo Alliance for the Performing Arts announces that it will be offering an interactive program of music, dance, and fitness throughout the month of July made possible by a grant from the City of Toledo. TAPA in the Parks will offer Family Fun Days, Adaptive Dance workshops, and paid internships.

Today, The Toledo Symphony announced Justin Rhoades as the recipient of its 2023 Outstanding Music Educator Award. Mr. Rhoades is the band director for Washington Local Schools. This is the fourth consecutive year the TSO has honored current, full-time, K-12 music educators who teach music in public and private schools in the Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan region. 

Toledo Ballet announced its 2023 summer programs for students ages 4 and above and all ability levels. Toledo Ballet’s summer offerings include two summer dance intensives for intermediate and advanced students, a themed workshop, dance camps for young dancers ages 4-8, and regularly scheduled classes. The Toledo Symphony is excited to once again announce a special collaboration with Imagination Station to celebrate Music In Our Schools Month. For the second year, during the month of March, various groups of Toledo Symphony musicians, faculty members, and students will present free activities at Imagination Station. 

Music Director Alain Trudel and the Toledo Symphony Orchestra (TSO) open the 2022/2023 season with a one-night-only performance on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 8PM at the Toledo Museum of Art’s Peristyle Theater. The program features works inspired by Shakespeare’s great romantic play, Romeo and Juliet, including music from Sergei Prokofiev’s iconic ballet, the 1968 classic film, and Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story. This opening concert is part of the ProMedica Masterworks Series with additional support from UBS Financial Services.
