TOLEDO, OH – The Toledo Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jessica Whittaker as its new Vice President of Finance. Jessica brings a wealth of experience in financial governance, strategic planning, and operational transformation to the organization. Her arrival marks an exciting new chapter for TAPA as it continues its vision to bring the community together through the performing arts.
Jessica joins TAPA with an impressive background in leading finance and operations for museums and other mission-driven organizations. Her expertise has driven significant improvements in operational efficiency, visitor experiences, and revenue growth. Jessica holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Kentucky State and earned her MBA from Midway University in Kentucky.
“Jessica’s extensive level of experience with non-profits and finance will help us move forward during this exciting time for our organization,” said Jennifer Coy, TAPA Treasurer.
As TAPA’s Vice President of Finance, Jessica is committed to fostering financial excellence and strategic innovation in support of the organization’s artistic vision. She is passionate about servant leadership, talent development, and cultivating strong organizational cultures.
“Jessica will be an important addition to our leadership team,” said Zak Vassar, TAPA President & CEO. “Her blend of financial acumen and deep commitment to mission-driven work will enable us to think boldly, act strategically, and enhance our ability to bring transformative performing arts experiences to our community.”
Outside of her professional accomplishments, Jessica enjoys baking, bourbon hunting, and creating a peaceful and fulfilling life, surrounded by friends and family.
Jessica succeeds Randi Dier, who retired in December after more than 30 years with the organization. A task force of TAPA trustees and staff led a national search to fill this position.
