Audition Repertoire and Guidelines
2024-2025 Repertoire Requirements
Eligibility
- Performers will select an accompanied composition. (Percussionists must play a mallet solo.) Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis, if no accompaniment is written. Sarah Schaefer (email) may grant an exception for an unaccompanied composition. Verify that an exception has been granted prior to Audition Time Selection.
- All performers must play works selected from OMEA Solo and Ensemble Required Lists or works of a similar level and appropriate for their age group. All performers will be limited to six (6) minutes of playing time.
- Three (3) copies of the music with numbered measures must be supplied for the judges. Failure to have the required copies may disqualify the performer from receiving a scholarship.
- Performers are expected to provide their own collaborative pianists. If you need recommendations for pianists, please email Sarah Schaefer.
