TSSM Tuition FAQs
How much do private lessons cost?
Each teacher sets his/her own private lesson rates. Please refer to their registration pages HERE for the cost of each lesson. Lessons are available in 30-minute, 45-minute, and 60-minute sessions. You should speak with your teacher about what lesson length is appropriate for you or your student.
What is TSSM's program fee?
All TSSM students pay an annual Program Fee of $150. Students with dual enrollment in TSYO pay a reduced fee of $120. Due to programming limitations, percussionists and adult students pay a program fee of $35. This fee is charged upon registration.
The Program Fee covers additional opportunities which come along with participating in TSSM. This includes group classes, recitals, masterclasses, participation in Musical Achievement Week, recital pianists, program administration and more. If you have questions about tuition fees and financial assistance, contact us at via email or call 419-418-0057.
For students who pay the full program fee of $150, your fee will be prorated after the Winter Break at the following rates:
Enrollment in January/February – $112.50 program fee
Enrollment in March – $75 program fee
Enrollment in April – $37.50 program fee
Enrollment in May – no program fee
What payment options are available?
Tuition may be broken down into monthly payments or paid in full at the beginning of the school year or summer. Tuition is collected via Jackrabbit, our registration software. Upon registration, you will create an account for your family. TSSM will post payments automatically to your card or bank account on file on the 6th of each month, unless you notify us otherwise. Declined cards (even if due to expiration) will be assessed a $5 fee.
Special arrangements must be made for tuition payments via cash or check. If you have made special arrangements to pay monthly by cash or check, there is a payment drop box located outside of the elevator on the third floor of the Professional Building. Payments may be left there or mailed to the TSSM at the address below. Payments not received by the 10th of the month will be assessed a $5 late fee.
Is financial assistance available?
We believe that all children who demonstrate a commitment to music education should be able to participate in music lessons regardless of their ability to pay full tuition. Through the generosity of private citizens and foundations, we can offer financial assistance to qualifying families. In order to be considered, please fill out the following form. Apply
