Field Trip Opportunities

Join Live Arts Toledo for our Young People's Performances! Students and teachers of all ages are welcome to join us for unforgettable field trip experiences. Whether your students are just beginning to explore music or dance, these engaging, age-appropriate performances are designed to capture their attention and spark a deeper appreciation for the performing arts! Individual tickets start at $7.50 with discounts available for groups of 10 or more! Book all 5 performances for $5 per person each!

Know Before You Go - The Orchestra Moves

We are excited for you to join us for The Orchestra Moves! This Young People's Performance will take place at the Peristyle Theater located at the Toledo Museum of Art, 2445 Monroe Street, Toledo. The shows will be approximately 45 minutes long with starting times at 9:45AM and 11:00AM. Doors will open 15 minutes prior to each school show. See you soon!

Schools Arriving By Bus

  • Please arrive closer to 9:15AM or 10:30AM to ensure enough time for students to be seated before the show begins. 
  • Doors will open 15 minutes prior to each school show.
  • Busses will drop students off in front of the Peristyle Theater and Live Arts Staff and Peristyle Ushers will greet them and show them inside to their seats.
  • After drop off, buses can park in Lot 7 on Parkwood Ave. during the performance. 
  • Busses should begin lining up on Art Museum Dr. to pick students up 30 minutes after the show begins. 
  • If there are children in wheelchairs, please drop them off at the turnaround beside the Center for Visual Arts/Carriage Entrance.

Groups Arriving By Car

  • Please park in Lot 3 at the Toledo Museum of Art. Parking is free..
  • Enter and exit the Peristyle Theater through the Carriage Doors on Art Museum Dr. beside the Center for Visual Arts.
  • If there are children in wheelchairs, please drop them off at the turnaround beside the Center for Visual Arts/Carriage Entrance. 
  • Kindly note that you will not be able to access the galleries in the Toledo Museum of Art until they open at 11AM.

FAQ – Young People’s Performances

How do I register? 

You can register for performances through this form: Registration Form. If you need assistance, feel free to contact our Box Office at boxoffice@liveartstoledo.com.

What should I expect on the day of the performance? 

We encourage all groups to arrive at least 30 minutes before the performance begins. Arrival procedures vary by venue (Peristyle, Stranahan, and Valentine), so please check our website two weeks prior to the performance, and look out for email updates one week in advance. 

What should I wear?

Our performances are relaxed and welcoming! While there is no official dress code, you are more than welcome to dress up if you’d like.

How long are Young People's Performances? 

  • Toledo Symphony Young People's Performances: Approximately 45–50 minutes 
  • Toledo Ballet Young People's Performances: Approximately 90–100 minutes, with a brief pause/intermission

Where do I sit? 

Seating information will be provided by our Box Office Manager prior to the performance. Our ushers will also assist you upon arrival. We recommend printing your reservation for easy check-in. 

Are there ADA accommodations? 

Absolutely! Let us know your needs when you register, or contact us directly so we can ensure the best experience for your group.

How do I pay? 

Our Group Sales Associate will contact you directly to arrange payment and provide an invoice, if needed. 

Can we bring food or drinks? 

Food and drinks are not permitted inside the performance halls. Water bottles are allowed. If students require snacks or drinks for medical reasons, please let us know in advance and we will accommodate. 

When should we clap? 

Clap when the performance begins, at the end, and anytime you feel moved by the performance! Our performers love to feel your energy and support. 

Can we take photos? 

No flash photography or video recording is permitted during the performance. If you take photos before or after the show, feel free to share and tag us at @liveartstoledo @toledosymphony or @toledoballet!
